It’s that time of year again; the 40th annual Hycroft University Women’s Club Christmas Fair begins this week. The Christmas elves at The Flower Factory have been working hard all week preparing for the big show. Once again this year we will be featuring our designs and holiday décor on the main floor in the grand drawing room. We are honoured to have been selected as the winner of the Georgia Straight’s Best of Vancouver 2012 florist once again. We love our customers and we love our city and we really appreciate your support. We have had a wonderful year full of events, weddings, fundraisers, and creative photo shoots. We are so pleased to officially launch our new website. The site went live in May just as wedding season began so we are sorry to say we have neglected our blog until now. We had a wonderful season and were able to work with some very creative couples and fantastic coordinators and vendors so it was all worth it. We are now carrying air plants at The Flower Factory! Air plants or Tillandsia are a genus of around 540 species in the Bromeliad family (Bromeliaceae) found in the forests, mountains and deserts of Central and South America, Mexico and the southern United States. The thinner-leafed varieties grow in rainy areas and the thick-leafed varieties in areas more subject to drought.
